AI Automations Guide
This module drafts fundraising strategy for you: automations covering your annual plan, campaigns, the case for support, gift range charts, revenue mix, readiness, your board, your calendar, events, and the Giving Guide you hand to donors and professional advisors. You review and edit everything before using it.
How AI Automations Work Here
Improve an existing document with AI: Besides drafting from scratch, you can upload a document you already have and let AI improve it. On the AI Automations page, use the "Improve an existing document" card: pick a file (Word, text, or a text-based PDF), and AI returns a cleaner version plus a prioritized summary of what changed, with your original kept. It opens in the Document Library's Improve with AI tool with the document type preset.
Open AI Automations from the dashboard. AI drafting works automatically whenever you are signed in to your All In One Nonprofit account (sign in on the app, or at the member portal, app.allinonenonprofit.com, where all your apps live in one place). It is part of your All In One Nonprofit plan. See current plans on the pricing page.
This module is the strategy and planning side of your fundraising. It complements the Donor Management app, which tracks your donors, gifts, and donor-facing letters. The work you do here, setting goals and building plans, guides the day-to-day donor work you do there.
Anything the AI produces uses only the figures you provide; it does not invent numbers, and it never uses em dashes. Everything is strategic guidance, not legal, tax, or investment advice.
✨ Grants Pipeline Brief
The Predictions page (under the Dashboard in the sidebar, next to AI Automations) scores your pipeline transparently from your own data: a grants pipeline forecast that weights each open grant's requested amount by its stage to an expected value, and deadline risk for grants coming due. Those scores and the page itself are free for everyone, and each one shows the factors behind it.
The Grants Pipeline Brief is the one AI button on that page. It reads the scored data and writes a short, prescriptive action brief: what to prioritize, which grants need attention now, and which deadlines are at risk. It is guidance to act on, never a guarantee. The scores are computed in your browser with no machine learning; the brief simply turns those transparent numbers into a plain-language plan.
✨ Campaign Plan Generator
The flagship of the set. Enter one campaign's name, goal, timeframe, what the money funds, who will run it, and the audiences to reach; the plan covers the campaign structure and phases, a gift range snapshot for the goal, outreach by audience, a timeline, roles for staff, board, and volunteers, and the metrics and check-ins that keep it on track.
✨ Annual Development Plan
Open AI Automations from the dashboard and fill in the short form: your annual revenue goal, optionally a breakdown of that goal by source (individual giving, grants, events, corporate, other), your mission focus, what you raised last year, and your staff and board capacity. Your entries are saved in your browser, so the form remembers them next time.
Click Generate development plan and the AI drafts a complete annual plan in five parts:
- Goal and revenue mix: your total goal, the mix by source with percentages, and a read on how diversified and balanced it is.
- Strategies by source: a few concrete, small-shop tactics for each major revenue source.
- Fundraising calendar: a quarter-by-quarter outline of appeals, events, grant deadlines, and stewardship.
- Key priorities: the few things that matter most this year.
- Metrics to track: the handful of numbers to watch, such as donor retention, cost to raise a dollar, and average gift.
Review and edit the plan in place, then copy it, download it as a polished Word document (or plain text), or print it to share with your board or staff.
The plan reflects the goals and figures you enter. The more accurately you set your goal and source breakdown, the more useful and specific the plan.
✨ Fundraising Readiness Assessment
Describe honestly how you fundraise today, the tools and records you keep, and what your board does; you get an encouraging but honest read across the fundamentals (case for support, donor records and acknowledgment, board engagement, capacity, plan, online giving, compliance basics), the gaps in priority order, and your first three moves.
✨ Revenue Diversification Analysis
Enter your annual revenue by source (individual, grants, events, corporate, earned, other) and note anything concentrated, like one funder being most of your grants; you get your percentage mix, the concentration risks, what a healthier mix looks like for a nonprofit, 2 or 3 realistic diversification moves, and the first 90 days, with the honest caveat that new revenue streams take 12 to 24 months to mature.
✨ Case for Support Drafter
The foundational "why give to us" document behind every appeal, grant, and major gift conversation. Provide your mission, the need, your proof points, and what gifts accomplish; the draft covers the need, your answer, why it works, what a gift does, and the invitation to join, written donor-centered (the donor is the hero). Only your real proof points are used; nothing is invented.
✨ Gift Range Chart Builder
The classic gift pyramid for any goal: enter the goal (and optionally your largest realistic gift and donor base size) and get the tier table, gifts needed per tier, prospects to cultivate at each level, and cumulative totals, plus a plain-language explanation of what the chart tells you: most goals are reached by a small number of larger gifts, so cultivation focus matters more than volume.
✨ Giving Guide
The reference your leaders keep at hand and hand to donors, nonprofits and professional advisors, rebuilt once a year so nobody has to dig the facts out of last year's annual report. Enter who you are, why give, the ways to give, your fund types and minimums, how to establish a fund, your legacy society, notes for advisors and your contacts. The guide reads every fund named on gifts in Donor Management and every grant dated that year in Scholarship Management (Grantmaking mode), and you can add funds and grants kept elsewhere one per line.
The AI writes the narrative sections only. The fund list, the grants table and the chart of grants by program come straight from your records, never from the model. What you type is kept for next year, and the card says when it is time to rebuild. The guide opens with the standard toolbar: Copy, Word, Save to Library, Text, Print, and Email; Print and Word include the chart and the tables.
✨ Board Fundraising Engagement Plan
Most board members fear asking for money. Describe your board's size, what it does today, and what you want from it this year; the plan builds a 100 percent giving expectation, a menu of non-ask ways to help (thank-you calls, introductions, hosting), training for the members ready to ask, and how to track and recognize participation.
✨ Event Plan Generator
Enter the event type, revenue goal, budget, expected attendance, and rough date; the plan covers the revenue model, sponsorship levels sized to your goal, the committee and roles, a planning timeline counted back from the date, the day-of outline, and the follow-up that converts attendees into donors (which is where the real return on events lives). For the promotion side (posts, invitations, press), use Marketing Management's Event Promotion Kit.
✨ Sponsorship Ask Drafter
From an event's Sponsors section, the per-sponsor AI ask button drafts a tailored sponsorship request letter for that sponsor. It is built only from the details you provide (your organization, the event, the sponsor, the level, the amount, and the benefits offered), so nothing is invented.
The draft opens with the standard toolbar: Copy, Word, Save to Library, Text, Print, and Email. Review and edit it before you send.
✨ Fundraising Calendar Builder
Tell it when your fiscal year starts, what campaigns and events you already have planned, and your capacity; it builds a realistic 12-month calendar that places your commitments, year-end giving season, appeals, prep time before each big moment, and the stewardship touches between asks that most calendars forget.
Team Fundraising (in the Develop group of the sidebar) is a peer-to-peer feature, not an AI automation: create a campaign, add individual fundraisers, and share each one's personal fundraising page where gifts roll up to the campaign total. See the user guide for how it works.
A few recently added fundraising features are operational tools rather than AI automations, so they live in the user guide:
- Donor fee-cover: donors can opt to cover the payment processing fee so your organization receives the full gift. See the user guide.
- QR codes for mobile giving: branded "Scan to give" codes for your main donate link and each team fundraiser. See the user guide.
- QR tickets and mobile check-in scanner: branded QR tickets plus a phone-camera scanner for the door. See the user guide.
- Silent auction catalog: per-event items, winners, payments, and a CSV export of results. See the user guide.
- Accounting export with ASC 958 restriction classes: unrestricted vs restricted support exported ready for QuickBooks, Xero, or Aplos. See the user guide.
